2009 – Present

Sr. Graphic Designer
Manage a team of five artists and designers. Design a complete portfolio of digital and print media, including: e-newsletters, promotional branded gifts, marquee graphics, tradeshow materials and web graphics / content. Provide fashion photography and photo manipulation.

  • Designed ten seasons worth of fashion lookbooks, contributing to more than 100% increase in lookbook sales and more than a 50% increase in apparel sales during the period.
  • Developed schematics for the factory store windows and designed seasonal displays to be implemented across the outlet stores.
  • Illustrated over 50 concepts for a tradeshow logo to then execute several and then fully finish one several weeks ahead of schedule.
  • Redesigned packaging for giveaways promoting The Heart of CAbi foundation that utilized mass produced products to save the company thousands that could be used for philanthropic uses while still looking great and on brand.

  • Created 2000+ different product designs for multiple categories. Several designs went on to be best sellers in retail outlets like Bed Bath and Beyond.

Associate Art Director
Designed digital and print media, including: brochures, books, PowerPoint presentations, sales aids, web banners, e-Newsletters and promotional emails. Checked blue lines and color comps. Completed “preflight” work before approving for print. Trained team on implementation and operation of Adobe and Microsoft software.

  • Earned a “Prima Award, Best Design / Marketing on a Shoestring Budget” for design and marketing of a mass mailer – three postcards that used just two colors (allowing for one print run) and delivered 25% returns.
  • Increased readership and profit by designing a popular promo piece – for inclusion with all directories – that provided readers with the ability to order additional directories and opt in to the company’s newsletter.
  • Partnered in redesigning the company’s EDS tradeshow booth and created invites for a sponsored event. Earned praise from the sales team for delivering more leads than prior years, despite the still recovering tech market.
  • Saved thousands of dollars in printing costs by developing a clever way to complete printed materials in-house.

Designed a broad range of print media, from brochures and postcards to posters. Consulted with clients on project design, progress and press checks. Assisted printers with bindery.

Designed, illustrated and coded the site, which allows users to create outfits, put them into a wardrobe and then share with friends. Employed Object Oriented programming principles and current technologies, including CSS, JavaScript, JQUERY, JSON, PHP and MySQL

Corporate Branding, Piratel
Developed branding and website (piratel.com) for the wholesale VoIP company. United the company’s pirate theme with more traditional approach. Created fun and memorable collateral, including a business card that turns into a pirate flag, an envelope that can turn into a ship and the stationary that can become a treasure map.

Brochure Design, ColorBroadband
Delivered a low-cost concept that provided the illusion of a four-color logo with spot and varnish. Uncovered an opportunity to offshore printing in order to contain costs while allowing the customer to opt for a more expensive, four-color approach.
